JordanCon 2026 is now part of the history books, and what a fabulous time we had, with great friends old and new! The writing track this year centered around what it means to write, why people write, and what compels authors (or editors really) to keep putting their pens to the page. Frog spoke on several very insightful panels, including one about subtext and themes. And he also mentored several folks in networking in the publishing/writing world workshops. Bar con really is a skill folks. lol.
And of course, Frog is always ready to "fire comment one." While I didn't get to watch any of those remarks personally this year, many people came to the Impulsive Walrus table to thank him and tell him how helpful and entertaining they found his presentations and his advice. I love that they went out of their way to let him know how impactful they found his words, and I hope we'll get to see what they do putting his advice to good use!

I also geeked out with a fellow author who enjoys k-dramas (you know who you are), manifested safety pins for a brave, brand-new author's wardrobe embellishment to match the theme of his book, and thoroughly enjoyed drawing a beastie in a witch hat at the maker-space art swap event using homemade inks and hand-whittled, reed pens that Roy Coker brought. He even shared his recipes and technique for making them, so don't be shocked if I'm suddenly writing with onions and blueberries. lol. And of course Frog and I both loved talking to the readers, editors, authors, and narrators that came over to chat during the con!
We also got to meet up with a couple of our "Glen Must Die," anthology authors, which was an unexpected and welcome surprise! More to come on that project soon-- we're still tying up a few loose ends before announcing the launch date.

Much thanks to JordanCon's Con Committee (ConCom), the fans, the volunteers, and all the professionals that made JordanCon 2026 such a fabulous weekend for all. Until next time! It is always a ton of fun, and truly memorable. Thank you.
